Michael (Mike) Hicks, 56, a resident of Scranton passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, in Clarksville.
He was born February 4, 1960, in Wynne to the late George Marion Hicks, Jr. and Flossie Erlene (Reagan) Hicks. Michael married Robbie Jane Davis on May 3, 1980, at Cherry Valley, Arkansas. He spent his working years in farming as a farmhand and in his spare time loved riding his horse, hunting and most importantly, spending time with his three grandsons. Michael was a member of the Open Range Cowboy Church in Ozark. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Edward Hicks and a sister, Sandra Jean Hicks.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Robbie Hicks of Scranton; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Anthony, Jr. and Robyn Hicks of Charleston; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brandie Nicole Hicks of Scranton and Erica Michelle Hicks-Boyles and husband, Quinton of New Blaine; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Diane Hicks of Petersburg, Tennessee, Rodney and Patsy Hicks of Wheatley, Stanley and Shirley Hicks of Cherry Valley and Kevin Ward of Vanndale; a sister, Mary Alice White of Big Flat and three grandchildren, Michael Lane Boyles, Levi Thomas Boyles and Bryce Allen Boyles, all of New Blaine.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2016, at the Roller Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Zack Belt officiating. Burial will follow in Wares Chapel Cemetery near Scranton under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Quinton Boyles, Kevin Ward, Randy Davis, James Earl Hicks, Richard Sturch, Jeremiah Lancaster and Eddie White. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Anthony Hicks, Jr., Michael Lane Boyles and Levi Thomas Boyles.

I was one of Mike's classmates in school and had a few with Robbie to. Although, I have not seen him since high school, I keep in touch with his and Robbie's family through Robbie on facebook. It seems like I have known them most all my life and the one thing, I have felt was that Mike and Robbie have a great family. And they have one of those loves that is still there even though he has passed. Find comfort Robbie that Mike was very happy with you and the two of you are linked forever! You two are soulmates and he is looking over you now and smiling down on you. All of you are in my prayers.

I only met your family last year but immediately felt like I had known you for a very long time. Pete has shared so many memories with me and I want you all to know that I love you very much! I pray every day that the Lord wraps his arms around all of you and gives you the comfort of HIS love in this, your time of need. Uncle Mike will be missed by so many, he lives in all our hearts forever.
