Jody Nehus, 70 of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on September 30, 1944 in Fredericktown, Missouri to her parents Lloyd ''Shorty'' and Leona Vesta (Kemp) Lewis. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd ''Shorty'' and Leona Vesta (Kemp) Lewis; one sister, Martha Sanders Kennedy and five brothers, George Lewis, Johnny Lewis, Bill Lewis, Tommy Lewis, Mick Lewis and Glenn Lewis.
She is survived by her five sons, Timothy Joseph Nehus and wife Shannon of Lebanon, Tennessee, William Lloyd Nehus and wife Beverly of Scranton, Arkansas, Kurt Edward Nehus and fiance Sarah Goodson of Paris, Arkansas, Gerhard Lewis Nehus and wife Erika of Paris, Arkansas and Paul Raymond Nehus and wife Tressie of Houston, Texas; one sister, Mary Heathscott of Kensett, Arkansas and fourteen grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris
Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris. Burial will be in Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown, Missouri on Wednesday under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Nehus, Ethan Nehus, Layton Nehus, Gerhard Lee Nehus, Cody Nehus and Haden Rainwater.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Moffett and Dylan Krigbaum.
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother. I was her home health assistant in 1998 for a while. She was a special woman and has always held a special place in my heart. I remember going to get her the little bite size milky ways and cutting them into little chunks for her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
