Hubert Schluterman, 89, of Subiaco, Arkansas passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 in Paris, Arkansas. He was born July 9, 1924 to his parents, John and Louise (Sprick) Schluterman in Subiaco. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a farmer, a mechanic and was retired from Synergy Gas of Charleston. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and a member of St. Benedict Mens Society and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise Schluterman; his wife of 65 years, Arlene A. Schluterman; a son, David Schluterman, one granddaughter, Shannan Jones, one son-in-law, Roger Jones and two brothers, Leonard Schluterman and Leo Schluterman.

He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Jones of Paris, Arkansas; Ann Bingham and husband Steve of Subiaco, Arkansas and Nancy Whitson and husband Homer of Paris, Arkansas; four sons, Tony Schluterman and wife Brenda of Scranton, Arkansas; Daniel Schluterman and wife Dorothy of Subiaco, Arkansas; John Schluterman and wife Karen of Scranton, Arkansas and Mark Schluterman and wife Shelly of Subiaco, Arkansas; three sisters, Irene Seiter of Fort Smith, Mary Alice Knitting of Lavaca and Jeanette Fredrick of Subiaco; three brothers, Jim Schluterman of Subiaco , Harold Schluterman of Paris and Richard Schluterman of Fort Smith; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Rosary Service will be held at 7:45 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2014 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco.

Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00P.M., Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco officiated by Fr. Aaron Pirrera, O.S.B. and Abbot Jerome Kodell, O.S. B. Burial will follow in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery in Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Pallbearers will be David Jones, Christopher Jones, Brian Schluterman, Anthony Schluterman, Derek Schluterman, Brandon Schluterman, Adam Eckelhoff, Britt Schluterman, Todd Whitson and Kendall Schluterman.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tina Weymouth, Shelly Byrd, Jill Lisko, Rebecca Palmatary, Latisha Reed, Kyley Lisko and Samantha Schluterman.

Prayers for your family!!! You all have been through so much! I just hope this is the last of this kind of pain for a while! I know God knows what going on and it will all work out in the end; but, it sure makes it tough on us that don't know what what is happening!
