Harry R. Mathews
March 19, 1937 - March 22, 2012

Harry R. Mathews 75 of Scranton, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Fort Smith. He was born on March 19, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to his parents John and Ellen (Steinkamp) Mathews. He was a business owner for over thirty years in the Automotive Industry, an avid drag racer and a successful wine entrepreneur. He was a United States Army Veteran, a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents John and Ellen Mathews and one brother Jack Mathews.

Harry is survived by his wife of 47 years Shirley A. (Doll) Mathews of Scranton, one daughter Susan Friemel and husband John of Scranton, two sons Richard Mathews and Robert Mathews both of Scranton, one sister Gloria Nussel and husband Don of Seattle, Washington and three grandchildren, R.J., Justin and Madison Mathews of Fayetteville.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service starting at 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, March 26, 2012 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with burial in St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery both in Scranton under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Pallbearers will be Tony Rogers, James Huck, Curly Neumeier, Steve Benge, Larry Naegle and Charlie Digiacomo.
