Thelma Lynn ''Meemaw'' Wingfield, 83, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, May 7, 2006 Thelma was born August 12, 1922 in Luxora, AR to the late E D and Eva Anderson McGowan. Thelma was a member of Central Baptist Church and supporter of Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene. She was Secretary-Treasure of the Ladies Auxiliary Local 656 Union Pacific Railroad.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Austin Leo Wingfield. She was the most loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Dennis Wingfield and wife Judy and David Wingfield; of North Little Rock and one daughter, Jenny Stanfield; of North Little Rock and six grandchildren, Matthew, Luke and Elizabeth Stanfield and Kevin, Austin and Laura Wingfield.
Family graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Edgewood Memorial Gardens. Memorial service will follow at 4:00 P.M. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (791-7400).

Mrs. Wingfield was such a joy every time I encountered her. She always had a sweet smile on her face and made you feel she was so glad to see you. What a wonderful legacy she leaves behind in her family and friends. Her Christian attitude was infectious and earned her the love and respect of all she knew. She will be missed deeply.
