Robert ''Bobby'' Beard, age 58, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016. He was born to the late Velda and Katharine Beard, in Norfolk, Virginia, on March 1, 1958.
Bobby is survived by his brother; Bill (Mary Jane) Beard of North Little Rock, his niece; Jennifer (Mark) Gibson of North Little Rock, two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted by Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR (501)791-7400, at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:00AM with Ken Shaddox, Senior Pastor at Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock, presiding. Bill and Mary Jane,
I am so sorry to hear about Bobby's passing. As you know I loved him dearly and loved growing up with him all those years. I know that he and I spent a lot of time together just playing and doing the things he liked to do. I have fond memories of all those times I tried so hard to teach him how to speak his name or even write his name on the chalk board. He tried so hard! I think we even had a way of communicating that is really hard to explain. We both had a love for music, coke and was it frozen Twinkies? We would swing all day or even ride the twin bikes but of course I had to do all the peddling!. Bobby was so special to me and I still talk about him today to my kids and other kids and how to treat people that are different than you. Thank you so much for sharing you brother with me all those years ago. He will always have a special place in my heart!
