Carolyn Ann Mayo Snow

June 24, 1948 - August 18, 2016

Never one to give up easily, Carolyn Ann (Mayo) Snow passed away in her home after a long battle with cancer on August 18, 2016. She was born June 24, 1948 to James and Juanita Mayo.

Carolyn is survived by those whom she loved more than life itself; her two sons: David Saletta of Arizona and Justin Lieber (Meagan) of Alexander, AR.; mother, Juanita Mayo and sister, Barbara Crain of Sherwood, AR; three grandsons: Vincent Saletta, Holden and Jonah Lieber; 2 nieces: Dana Henderson of Abilene, TX and Nikki (Jeff) Childers and their four children: Hayden, Madison, Parker and Aubrey of Cord, AR.

Her dad, James Mayo, preceded her in death.

Carolyn graduated from Blytheville High School until permanently settling in Sherwood, AR. She attended Sylvan Hills Church of Christ.

Carolyn fervently loved her family and spent months shopping for the perfect gifts. She had no greater joy than watching as the children opened them. Carolyn's effervescent disposition gave life to everyone around her.

She also loved spending time with her sister and best friend, Barbara. They were often together watching movies, as Carolyn would sip on her bottled Coke. Her laughter could be heard for miles and her joy was infectious.

The family extends their most sincere gratitude to Arkansas Hospice and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to them. Her celebration of life will be a private event at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock with Jeff Childers presiding.

To Mrs. Mayo, sister Barbara, sons and their families it is with deep sorrow I read of Carolyn's passing into the kingdom of heaven. I was glad to have been able to reconnect a few years ago with her after many years of us all drifting away with our own lives and children and grandchildren. She was always loved by myself Pam and Doug and we always cared for her and we all respected her when we met her years ago when we were in our late teens. She always had a smile on her face and her twang accent was infectious to all. She made many friends when we all lived in Mississippi too. We are all heartbroken over your loss and her beautiful spirit will live on in her son's and grandchildren. We were so glad she was in our lives as a wonderful caring friend and we send our deepest thoughts and prayers to you all. Carolyn will be missed by so many people and now she and daddy can be together in heaven. Thank you for having such a true wonderful southern caring girl that you shared with others. May she rest in peace knowing so many people loved her too.

You now get to laugh with Jesus Carolyn! Looking forward to seeing you one of these days in Heaven and I know that I will be able to find you...I'll just listen for your laughter. You were an inspiration to many with your courageous fight against a disease that takes the fight and spirit from most...but you met it head on.

What a wonderful woman, I met her only one time in the classroom of her sister Barbara. I could hear two fussing at one another as I came around the corner of the hallway. She was telling Barbara hang the poster on this wall and Barbara was telling she didn't know what she was talking about. I was concerned at first but when I peeked in OMG, what a show of sisterly love there was. We as sister might pick at one another but we do love our sisters. For me there was not a better example of LOVE MY SISTER!!!!!! May the love of Carolyn for her sister carry on for generations. I know it does in my love for my sisters. I love you Barbara, my heart and prayers go out to you and all your family.
