James Thomas ''Tom'' Scott, Sr., age 86, of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016. He was born to the late Marvel Thomas and Mattie Holley Scott. Tom was manager of the Commissary at Little Rock Air Force Base. He was a member of Rose City Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. Tom loved camping, gardening, working in his yard, and carpentry work.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Jean; three brothers, three sisters, and son-in-law, Darrell Story.
He is survived by one son, James Thomas ''Tommy'' Scott, Jr (Rhonda), of Sherwood; two daughters, Teresa Story, of North Little Rock, and Jamie Pinegar (Mike), of Nashville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Adam Story (Christina), Cecily Story; Matthew Pinegar (Andrea), Zachary Pinegar (Carolanne); Kaley Achor (Brandon),and Caroline Scott; nine great-grandchildren and a host of extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, in the chapel of Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, AR (501-791-7400) with interment to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday morning.

Can't tell you how many times Mr Scott was driving me around with Jamie in his Impala? or whatever it was listening to KARN...He was a jewel full of wit and laughter. I can't tell you how my heart is breaking for your loss today ..but know that my prayers and love are with you Teresa (Tweety Bird) Jamie (Byrd) and Tommy
