I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my husband of 45 years last April and know how hard it is to give up the one that has been at your side for so long. Just get out of bed each morning and carry on with all the things you usually do. It helps you feel closer to the one you miss so much. Many tears will fall but with each one, remember this is another day your loved one is free of all pain and is walking the streets of gold, listening to the beagles run. I work with Vicki at the High School and know you have a rock in her. Lean on her for all her support and let her help you with whatever you need her for in the future.

I met Gary several months of ago when I was working at the dollar general there in Maumelle and this one particular day he came in several times and he thought he was making my day rough he felt bad and offered if he can make it up with me being kind I told him no he didn't have to and he was persistent on it and I gave in and all I asked for was a strawberry banana smoothie from McDonald well he got that and chicken nuggets. I will always remember that man it upset me that my manager sent me a link about his death. He was truly a real nice man and I will always remember that there are kind people just like him out there. RIP Gary you will be missed dearly. From Amanda who worked at DG

Merlene & Katie,
I am at a loss for words. God rest his soul. Words are hard to come by at a time when a good hug is better than any thing someone could say. I'm glad Butch is not here for this one. But I am convinced they are running those beagles on streets of gold. Gary was a good friend and hunting buddy for Butch. I can still hear him tell his stories and making laughter where ever he was. I wish some one would write a book on his adventures. It sure would be fun. He was so full of life and bs. Love you girls bunches and will help with anything I can.
Much love and hugs.

I have fond memories of Gary's good nature. He was a very good man and loved his family.
I will always remember our "race" from Ducks house to his. Gary thought we were racing on foot and I actually tricked him; when I picked him up in the car - he smiled so big...I said our terms never said "on foot"! He was happy not to keep running and surprised I got one on him.
May he rest in peace. Myrlene, Katie and all of the family my prayers are with you.
