To the family of Mr. Embry aka Buddy. Buddy and I were at the same rehabilitation facility in Sherwood in late July and August 2015. I think I was there about a week when Buddy came to rehab. I sat with him at breakfast on many mornings and discussed many topics with him during and after breakfast. Sometimes we had lunch or dinner at the same table. One of the first things Buddy asked me was, "I hope this is not too personal, but do you have a relationship with the Lord?" His words were probably a little different, but I think that is a question he asked everyone. I do have a relationship with the Lord and I saw it working when I became friends for a short time with Buddy. I was surprised to see Buddy's obituary in the paper, but I am joyful that he is now in Heaven with members of his family. Buddy also told me he had three good and honest sons--thank you sons for sharing Buddy with us. Cynthia Middleton

My heartfelt condolence to the family. Death was not God's purpose for us. The Bible tells us that the man Job lost all his children to the enemy death and asked God, "If a man dies can he live again?" (Job 14:14). Jesus answered Job's question at John 5: 28, 29 by telling us that our loving merciful God has promised to bring our dead loved ones back to life again. He demonstrated his ability to raise people from the dead when he brought back to life his friend, Lazarus. Yes, Lazarus was resurrected back to his “earthly” home. (John 11:11-14; Psalms 37:10,11) What a wonderful blessing from our heavenly Father (Psalm 83:18). We can put our faith and trust in God’s word because God does not lie. (Numbers 23:19)

I will always have fond memories of you Grampa Buddy. You were always eager to let me sit in your lap as a little kid and tell me bible stories. You encouraged my love for the outdoors as you would take me exploring in your garden, teach me about your cows while we scratched your bull "Amaryllis" on the head, and took me to the pond to fish or simply to feed the fish. Rest peacefully and rejoice with the Lord, you are home. Hold Grand Martha tight and please give Sarah a hug for me. Until I can hug your neck again. I love you.

Hello, my name is Carlein. I am a Bible teacher. I am sorry for your loss. A scripture that has given me much comfort is Revelation 21.4 which promises that one day death shall be no more. I hope this truth brings you comfort also.
