Robert I Wainwright
April 15, 1934 - July 13, 2012

Robert I. Wainwright, of North Little Rock, completed his earthly journey on July 13, 2012.

He was born in Pulaski, Virginia on April 15, 1934. He attended high school in Pulaski, Virginia and King’s College in Bristol, Tennessee. Bob retired from the Air Force as an E7 Master Sergeant. He spent most of his military career working in the command center. He served in England, the Philippines, and in Viet Nam, where he received the Bronze Star.

He was the only child of Guy I. Wainwright and Cleo Hyter Wainwright. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Helen Brittain Wainwright; two daughters, Jackie and Mike Sapp, and Lysa and Tomas Wilson; three sons, Jon and Angela Wainwright; Whit Brittain, Todd and Gwen Brittain, grandchildren, Chris Sapp, Mark and Mary Sapp, David Sapp, Matt Sapp, Brock Wainwright, Brian Wainwright, Ben Wainwright, Meah Wilson, Maci Wilson, Heather Shew, and Gray Brittain; great-grandchildren, Minnie Sapp, Marc Sapp, and Jack Shew.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 11324 Arcade Dr., Little Rock, AR 72211.

Memorial Service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 16, 2012 at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1922 Topf Rd, North Little Rock, with Reverend Richard Lancaster officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service at the church.
