Michael "Papaw" Edward Laycook, Sr.

Michael Edward “Papaw” Laycook, Sr.55, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, October 19, 2009. He was born in North Little Rock to Harlon and Evelyn Laycook. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Laycook.

He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his parents; his son, Michael Edward Laycook, Jr.; daughter, Michelle Beck and son-in-law, Eric Beck; one grandchild, Victoria Beck; sister, Regina Laycook; two brothers, Ronald and Robert Laycook; godson, James Meeks; and host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2009, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (501-791-7400) with Brother John Herring officiating. Interment will follow at Round Mountain Cemetery, Conway, AR. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
