Louis Clifford Hughes

Louis Clifford Hughes, 87, of Sherwood passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009. Louis was born in Prescott, AR, to the late Louis S. and Elba Alice Bryson Hughes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise Hughes and one brother, Virgil Hughes.

Louis was a member of Central Baptist Church and J. Bradley Sunday School Class. He retired from AP&L/Entergy after 41 years of service and during WWII, he served in the Coast Guard.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandi York Ford of Baxuite, AR and Linda Hargrove of Springboro, OH; four grandchildren, Cinde (Dane) Hart, Shelli (Nick) Crow, Jynnifer (Brian) Schlise, and Jeremy Hargrove; eight great-grandchildren, Jered, Lauren, Austin, Peyton, Emily, Amanda, Sarah and Presli; and host of other family and friends.

Funeral will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 17, 2009, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel 5509 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock, AR, with Reverend Kylan Mann officiating. Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park.

The family receivee friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2009, at the funeral home.
