Mark Dennis Long, 62, of Bartlett, Tennessee, formerly of West Memphis, Arkansas went to be with our Lord on December 8th, 2017. He was born in Heidelberg, Germany on October 18th. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary (Umbers) and John Clark Long Jr., Vivian and H.C. Smith, daughter Brook (Long) Neal, and brother Michael Long. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janet Long, sisters Robin Ost and Ronda Crook, son-in-law Adam Neal, grandchildren Avery Neal and Meghan Neal, and many nieces and nephews. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was a dedicated employee of Swift Transportation for 18 years. He was a loyal Razorbacks fan who also enjoyed fishing, canoeing, camping, golf, and participating in BBQ competitions. He is remembered as a devoted husband and papa who adored his grandchildren. A loving brother, uncle, and friend, he will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13th at 11 a.m. followed by a service at 12 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in West Memphis, Arkansas. Interment will be held at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Janet, I am so very sorry for your loss. You have had a rough time lately. You will be in my thoughts and prayers in the days, weeks, months to come. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and repeat.
Dear Janet, I am sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what you are feeling and how empty you are feeling, but just remember God got you and He will never put more on you than you can bear. I do believe these are trying times and we must keep the faith in knowing this is God's plan because if He brought you to it He will help your through it! Know that I love you and I am here for you.
