Harold Vernon Morris

of West Memphis, AR

April 18, 1975 - June 15, 2016

Harold Vernon Morris, 41, of West Memphis, AR passed away peacefully on June 15, 2016 surrounded by his family.

Harold was born in Guantanamo, Cuba (his father was in the Navy), attended West Memphis Schools, and worked at East Ark Enterprises. He was a collector and fan of wrestling, sci-fi, super heros and music-with an encyclopedia knowledge of all his interests. He was creative, caring, and loved by all that knew him: a loyal family member, good friend, devoted boyfriend and beloved coworker. He treated everyone with respect, and was an all-around stand-up guy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stephen Morris; and his grandmother, Lillian Louise Aston.

He leaves behind two sisters Elsie Bolton of West Memphis, AR and Roberta Morris of San Francisco, CA; his grandfather, Harold Aston of West Memphis, AR; his two nieces Abby Bolton and Marie Bolton of West Memphis, AR; his mother and stepfather, Laura and Lee Soult of Memphis, TN; his uncle George Aston and cousins Lindsey Shelton and Becky Aston of Memphis, TN; as well as his girlfriend, Leslie Sampley of West Memphis, AR.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to East Ark Enterprises and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Visitation with the family will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21, from 9:00-10:00am with the service beginning at 10:00am. Burial with graveside services will follow at 3pm in the Evergreen Cemetery of New Madrid, Missouri.
