Charlie Eugene Marter, 69, of Marion, AR passed away May 30, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Page and Dorothy Marter and his brother, Ernest ''Pete'' Marter.
He was survived by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Marter of Marion, AR; his 2 daughters, Bangie Marter Camper (Justin) of Marion, AR, Brandi Marter of Memphis, TN; 4 grandchildren, Lily Camper, Maddox Camper, Hadley Jo Camper, Hayes Eugene Camper; 2 sisters, Shirley Vance (Ben) of Marion, AR, Jeanine Marter of Marion, AR; and 1 brother, Lester Marter of Searcy, AR.

at this time .When ever I would see Eugene, he
was always so pleasant and friendly. I am thinking

Peggy, and family, know you will miss him and he was a fine man and like another brother. Never forget the first time I met him, Him Lester, Pete and Mr. Marter had been coon hunting and I was from the city. oh my how they teased me with them coons. But a True man. Thank him for serving our country too.

I remember Eugene when he and Pete had BP in Marion. Always quick witted and happy. So sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear about Eugene. He and his family have been our neighbors for many years. He was a really nice man and will be missed terribly. Our sympathy and prayers to all the family.
