Kathy and I were good friends in high school. We were in the band together & were majorettes. My favorite memory is the summer we went to baton camp at Arkansas State. Oh, our mother's took swimming lessons together, Kathy and I sat poolside and laughed--a lot. She was a great friend and will be missed. So glad I got to visit with her this past September at the Gibson Bayou Reunion. Sorry I won't be able to attend services. I had foot surgery Thursday but I will be there in spirit.

I worked with Mrs. Mitchell at Maddux. She took me in loved me like I was one of hers, even after I was moved to another school. Then, she would have Ms. Mary Helen check on me.There was always plenty to talk about, my family being from Earle, politics, and certainly the fact I am an OleMiss fan. She was a true friend and mother figure. I truly loved her and will miss her greatly. You all are in my thoughts and prayers and I am sorry for your loss. She certainly was one of a kind.Just for her, Woo Pig Sooiee!
