Thoughts and prayers are with you..
Jack, you and Joyce both became very special to me throughout our years of raising money to maintain Gibson Bayou. My heart is broken for Joyce. The annual homecoming will never feel the same again for me. Both your hearts were in the efffort and the church and cemetery held a very special place.
I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around Joyce, your son and grandsons, your sister and all your numerous friends, and find peace within.
You will indeed be missed by many. I sure loved your cornbread cake!
Your friend, Deb

Mr. Jack, I will miss you so much. You were always so sweet to me. You will never know how much I appreciated your kindness. I am so sorry I didn't get to see you before you died. I wanted to tell you thank you for being my friend. I know if my family or I ever needed you that you would have been there to help us! Thank you for teaching me how to cook white gravy. It will never be as good as yours but a girl can always dream. I enjoyed being at yo,ur house carving pumpkins in October. It won't be the same next year without you. I'm going to miss you. I'll see you again. Hopefully not too soon. But I know I will! I love you and will miss you.

Captain Stepp,
Sorry to hear about your lose. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Little Jack, I guess I'll always call you that! You know that I love you and share your pain. Your family was always very , very special to our family and you were like a son to me. Three years ago on this date Charlie died. Wish that I could be there for you, but I know that June told you that I had a heart attack and was in the hospital when you called to tell her that your dad was so sick in Memphis. I 've talked with your mother and Nellie this morning. Just remember that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Mary Elizabeth
Jack,
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God wrap his arms around you during this difficult time.
