Charles Gilbert Barfield, 85, of West Memphis, Arkansas died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Methodist Alliance Hospice Residence in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mr. Barfield retired from International Harvester as a manufacturing engineer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Lee Barfield.
He is survived by two sons, Alan Craig Barfield and Terry Barfield, and one grandson Justin Barfield.
I'm so sorry to know that Mr. Barfield will not be here to visit with anymore, as I walk McKenzie around the neighborhood and see him in the yard. We always had some interesting conversations, and I truly enjoyed hearing what he had to say about whatever came up. He was a most enlightening and entertaining man! I'll miss him, too.
Alan, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I have fond memories of us growing up on Scottwood and doing things with both of your parents. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this rough time. Butch

So sorry to hear Mr Barfield has passed away. He was always so pleasant to talk to and we had many discussions about history & politics. I will miss his visits. God Bless his family.
