Lorna VanRheenen, age 86 of Searcy, died Tuesday in Searcy. She was born May 23, 1920, in Pella, Iowa, to Gerard M. Gosselink and Nellie (Bennick) Gosselink. She was a member of the College Church of Christ. She is survived by five children: Karen Cuthbertson and husband Ian of Grand Valley, Ontario; Dwayne VanRheenen and wife Joan of Abilene, Texas; Gailyn VanRheenen and wife Becky of Carrollton, Texas; Mark VanRheenen and wife Beth of Sylvania, Ohio; Lorual Peschka and husband David of Roswell, New Mexico; and one sister, Sara Ann Dunsmore of Pella, Iowa. She is survived by thirteen grandchildren: Robert Cuthbertson, Lora McClelland, Nathan VanRheenen, Michele Westerholm, Derek VanRheenen, Rebecca Ravi, David VanRheenen, Deborah Pinson, Sara Koehler, Anne Nichols, Aundrea Carrillo, Alise Mullen and Audrey Bullock. She has fifteen great-grandchildren, with several more on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerard and Nellie Gosselink; husband, Chalmer VanRheenen; sister, Mildred Eldred; and one grandson, Jonathan VanRheenen. Visitation is Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at College Church of Christ, with interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family has requested any memorials be made to Mission Alive, 4207 Meadow Ridge Dr., Carrollton, Texas 75010.
