of Judsonia, AR
April 5, 1948 - November 1, 2015
John Alvin Guinn, 67, departed this earthly world on November 1, 2015. He was born April 5, 1948 to the late William and Mandy Guinn.
John worked in heavy construction for most of his life. In retirement, his favorite pastime was working in his garden with the love of his life, Janice Guinn. John loved driving his truck and also his John Deere tractors. He spent many hours tending lovingly to his garden plants. One of his greatest joys was working with his several varieties of berry plants. John loved playing his guitars and singing joyful hymns to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved teaching bible study at his church, was a deacon, and loved all of his church family dearly. John loved spending time with Janice, even if it was just to travel to eat breakfast, shop in Mountain View, or to sit in their recliners relaxing. John also loved spending time with his daughters, whether they were shooting guns or just sitting on the porch chatting. And, one of the brightest spots in John's life was being "Papa" to his beautiful granddaughter, Abigail.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice Irene Guinn, his brother Tommy Guinn, his daughter Tanya (Greg) Fischer, daughter, Leslie (Beau) Bellamy, granddaughter Abigail Lee Bellamy, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Roosevelt Baptist Church in Judsonia with Bro. Mike Churchwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Roosevelt Cemetery with Monty Jenkins, Gary Lynn Baker, Heath Guinn, Cyle Baker, Edward Covington and Devin Carr serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Roosevelt Missionary Baptist Church.

Truly heartbroken. Uncle John was an amazing man who touched so many lives. Mine included. He had the biggest heart. He lived so deeply. I will never forget his bear hugs and his quiet, gentle manner. I wish we could make it in for the services. We are sending or love and prayers your way. We love you guys. The Turner family.
Janice, I am so sorry for your loss. John was a good man. Bob worked with him a few years ago for TAW and he really enjoyed working and getting to know John again after all those years that has gone by since we was just kids that grew up together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the girls. May God Bless You and be with you.
