Karel Loranne Smithson, 75, was born to Chester L. and Lena Guy Roediger on November 8, 1939 in Longford, Kansas and passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 in Searcy, Arkansas with her granddaughter at her side.
Mrs. Smithson was a homemaker, cherished mother and grandmother, sister, military wife and deeply loved by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 53 years, John D. Smithson and a son, John A. ''Tony'' Smithson.
Mrs. Smithson is survived by two granddaughters; Kaci Smithson of Searcy and Morgan Smithson of Little Rock , four great grandchildren; Angella, Jayden, Malayah, Neveah, one sister, Kathleen Roediger, one brother, Michael Roediger, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Monday, June 29, 2015 from 11:00 am until noon at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Graveside services will be Monday, June 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Searcy. Memorials maybe made to the American Cancer Society.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Karol's passing. She was a sweet lady. I worked with John for many years at Walmart. He was such a character. I still miss working with him.
