Maurice Leon Davis, 79 of Osceola, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, July 13, 2015. Born July 1, 1936 in Guntown, Mississippi to the late Tom Davis and Virture Carruthers Smith, he was affiliated with the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the City of Osceola. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Vernice Davis; one daughter: Diane Gibson; one grandson: LeJuan Robinson; one brother: Preston Davis and two sisters: Mary Louise Tymes and Ann Mayes. Survivors include his two sons: Wayne Patterson of Osceola, AR and Christopher (Pattina) Bausley of Fort Hood, TX; one daughter: Jacqueline (Ralph) Anderson of Osceola, AR; special family members: Carlette Plummer, Curtis Frazier, Joe Frazier, Natasha Frazier and Michael Frazier; one son-in-law: Larry Gibson of Gosnell, AR; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers: James Mayes, Sr. and Alvin Mayes, both of Florida; special friends: Michael Fletcher, Reginald Davenport, Shontae McLean and Yolonda Virgies.
