MIKE SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS...PRAYING FOR YOU !!!!!!!
My sincerest sympathy to Betty, Mike, Diane, Janie and your families from a neighbor on the other side of Kochtitzki Ditch #1. Up and down the road in his pickup truck, I would always see him smiling. I wish everyone well, truly.
Thank you Hoss from me and our entire family for your friendship and kindness to us. Dad loved you. And we are each grateful for your visits to him. Peace to your house. Strength for each one. You are respected by all of us and we go a long time back.
Betty, Diane, Mike & family. Sissy shared the sad news of JD's passing. My heart goes out to each of you during this time as I know personally how much he loved life, all of you - his family, his community and yes, his farm! Remembering mine & Vic's high school romance, he never missed a chance to ask me with a wink and smile, "Susie, are you ready to be a farmer's wife?" What a gracious soul and an amazing man - he has left us all better people, with plenty of wonderful memories - and he will be sorely missed! I love you all! Norma (Susie) Stracener

Very sorry to hear this. If I remember right Hoss is the last of the old guard that came over from Tennessee and helped wrestle that rich black Arkansas soil away from the cypress stumps and roots. He truly loved that farm. This is a great loss.
My heart is broken ...hearing the news of the passing of Mr. J.D. Smith. I know of his long journey and his intrepid
spirit to press on. An excellent example to all of us who face this struggle. We are remembering you all today.
