Sammy Evelyn Aycock, 70, of New Albany, Mississippi passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015. Born April 19, 1944 to the late Samuel Edward and Virginia Armstrong, she was a former member of Nodena Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include: one son Samuel Edward Aycock of Peoria, Illinois; one daughter Jeanetta Thomas of Nashville, Tennessee: Eight Grandchildren; one sister Linda (Ronnie) Griggs of New Albany, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe Aycock; one daughter Virginia Ann Aycock; two sisters Virginia Ann Stephens and Helen Jean Filyaw.
