Billy "B.J." Joe McAfee, Jr.

Billy Joe “B.J.” McAfee, Jr. of Osceola passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009. He was 43 years old. B.J. worked for Osceola Parks and Recreation for 14 years, the last six as director. He was devoted to helping every child in Osceola and the surrounding areas get in involved in sports activities, many at his own expense. B.J. refereed high school and junior high football across the state for almost 25 years. He spent most of his life working with children and young adults. A devoted father, he is survived by his four wonderful children: Molly, Mattie, Mac and Michael, his parents: Billy Joe and Ann McAfee and his brother Scott McAfee. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark McAfee.
