Laura Mae Dawson Smith, 85, of Osceola entered in to rest Thursday, October 8, 2009 in Osceola. Born Wednesday, July 16, 1924 in Bassett to the late Dave and Martha Brown, she was a member of Osceola First Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by five sons: Lewis Dawson of Forrest City, Jerry Dawson of Osceola, Donald Dawson of Blytheville, David Dawson and Steve Dawson both of Wilson; one daughter: Faye Dawson Jones of Osceola; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three sisters: Virginia Lovett of Rock Island, IL, Juanita Burfield of St. Charles, AR and Peggy Jean Slade of Hattiesburg, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James L Smith, one son Donavan Dawson, one daughter Patricia Ann Austin, two brothers and one sister.
