June 22, 1937 - August 7, 2016

Donald Edward Kemp, age 79, formerly of Mountain View, passed away at his home in Vilonia on August 7, 2016. He was born on June 22, 1937, in Mountain View, AR to Truman and Mavis (Poff) Kemp. Don was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Vilonia, and a former member of the Mountain View City Council and Mountain View Fire Department. He was a 1955 graduate of Mountain View High School.

He is survived by his wife, Nora (Long) Kemp; daughter, Lezlie Rose and husband Clint of Vilonia, AR; two grandsons, Coe Rose of Springfield, MO, and Lane Rose of Vilonia; and one sister, Ann Johnson and husband Freddie Jo of Camden, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Amanda Kemp; brother, Dean Kemp; and one sister, Cloyce Risner.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 9-10 AM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 10:00AM also at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Randy Long, Brother Matt Long, and Brother Ken Jordan officiating. Interment will be at East Richwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Andy Williams, Rusty Johnson, Rusty Long, Brad Risner, Kelly Kyseth, and Gary Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Risner, Sonny Thrasher, Jerry Caroll, Bob Jessen, Benny Risner, and Freddie Joe Johnson.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
