Bill Ford, 78, of Pleasant Grove, Arkansas passed away on November 13, 2014 at his home. Bill was born on November 28, 1935 in St. James, Arkansas to the late Jimmy and Dorothy (Sutton) Ford. Bill worked at the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas where he retired from broom making. In addition to working at the Ozark Folk Center, Bill was also a long time member of the Pleasant Grove Water Board, Pleasant Grove Fire Department, and served on the Pleasant Grove Community Center Board. Bill was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in St. James, Arkansas.
Bill was survived by his wife, Velma (Oden) Ford of the home; step-son, Joseph Daniel Bailey of Batesville, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Tifney Woolfolk and husband Brian of Little Rock, Arkansas; three step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Dorothy (Sutton) Ford.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014, 2:00PM at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pleasant Grove, Arkansas with Brother Rob Ford officiating.
Pallbearers are Glen Dayberry, Steve Dayberry, Rick Dayberry, Cecil Dayberry , Lonnie Mingues, and Jon Berkey.
Would liked to have been at the service. He was a sweetie and will be missed.
