Norris Cecil ''Buddy'' Lawrence, 79, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away at his home on October 6, 2014. Buddy was born on June 15, 1935 in Mississippi County, Arkansas to the late Ray and Lela (Shepard) Lawrence. Buddy worked as a timber worker for most of his life and was a member of the Evangelistic Center Church of Mountain View, Arkansas.
Buddy is survived by his wife Betty (Brown) Lawrence of the home; four sons, Sammy Lawrence, Danny Lawrence, Jimmy Lawrence, and Jerry Lawrence; one daughter, Debbie Jayne; four brothers, Ewin Lawrence, Clarance Lawrence, Charles Lawrence, and Jesse Lawrence; two sisters, Dorthy Carlton and Sue Ferries; thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lela (Shepard) Lawrence and infant son, James Lawrence.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, from 6-8PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, 2:00PM at the Evangelistic Center Church in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Tommy Williams and Brother Jack Robinson officiating. Interment will take place at Levisy Flat Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Allen Jayne, Ronnie Jayne, Josh Lawrence, Bobby Lawrence, Leonard Lewis, and Jack Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Lawrence, Zack Lawrence, Timmy Stair, Seth Williams, Blake Williams, Johnny Williams, Markus Williams, Evan Williams, Caleb Williams, Tim Cagle, and Everett Holland.
