Dear Shirley and family,
I'm very sorry for your loss. I have wonderful memories of stopping for my burger @ Marie's when I was in for a visit with my sister Gail Abernathy. I remember those great little picnic tables and Guy usually sitting in his lawn chair. I know he will be missed. May God give you comfort and bless your family during this time. Blessings

when me and my siblings were growing up in the Stone county area - the treat of the time was a milk shake from Marie's.
I was working in the area few years back, went by and got lunch, Guy remembered me and my twin and younger brothers, and yes he sat at the picnic table and talked to us...it was a treat for sure.

God bless the family - Melvin and Retha Brewer children and grandchildren.

So sorry for your loss, guy was definetly one of a kind. So many childhood memories. Can remember him like it was yesterday, sitting there at the game, rubbing that brand new baseball until it looked like it had been used in several games. Had the strongest grip I have ever seen. RIP Guy!

Guy will be greatly missed! I still remember him standing on on each of the bases giving me signs when I played high school baseball at Mtn. View. He loved working with kids and he always knew what he was talking about! The hand gestures and rubbing those hands will be one thing I never forget. He was always very supportive of the teams in Mtn. View. I can remember seeing him at the basketball games as well cheering us on back in the days! I also loved stopping in at Marie's and showing off my bucks that I killed. He loved to hunt as well. RIP Guy! You are in a better place now! One day we will see you again! Jarred Cartwright! !!!

We are so sorry. I shall remember Guy for his smile and love of people. The only place we ran into each other was WalMart and what a conversation we would have. His hugs were so powerful, his loss will be felt by so many people. Our community has lost a wonderful person.
