John Kermit Taylor, 88, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on May 28, 2014 at Stone County Medical Center. Kermit was born on April 5, 1926 to John Winston and Annis Evaline (Martin) Taylor at Brushy Creek. Kermit was of the Baptist faith and accepted Christ on April 21, 1996. He was a veteran of the United States Army and also worked as a bus driver for 31 years and at the Ozark Folk Center for 13 years. On October 31, 1953 he married his wife of 60 years Marie (Green) Taylor.
Kermit is survived by his wife, Marie (Green) Taylor of the home; one sister, Gustava Rice; several nieces and nephews, along with many friends.
Kermit was preceded in death by his parents, John Winston and Annis Evaline (Martin) Taylor; brothers, Forrest Taylor, Herbert Taylor, Tommy Taylor, Jim (James) Taylor, Eliza Taylor, Keith Taylor; sisters, Hazel Finch, Gladys Storey, and Cloa McMullen.
A visitation will take place on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 6-8PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2014, 10:00AM at Blue Mountain Baptist Church in Timbo, Arkansas. Officiating the service are Brother Daryl Pitts and Brother Isaac Gray. Interment will take place at Blue Mountain Cemetery in Timbo, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are JL Broyles, Neil Harness, Lindsey Harness, Malcom Sumrall, Frank Taylor, and Kirk Green. Honorary pallbearers are Dwight Richardson, Ora Mast, Glen Bontrager, and Dr. John Irvin.

What a full life he lived while here
I remember Kermit Taylor from my childhoold days in Stone County. He was always so funny and endearing. I am sure he will be missed by those who loved and knew him. He was a good frined of my dad, they usually met up laughing and departed laughing.

My Great Uncle.I never knew his first name was John. He always had my seat saved on the school bus.I am sure the Lord has a seat for him.Rest in Peace Uncle Kermit.

I worked with Kermit as far has I know he was a very good man Honest hard working and a friend he was easy to like always having something to say he enjoyed life doing what he wanted to do it I was blessed to have known him in this life he will be missed by family and friends deepest sympathy to his wife and family .
