August 20, 1937 - February 26, 2014

Leon Amick, 76, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on February 26, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Leon was born on August 20, 1937 to Sam and Maude Ellen (Haus) Amick in Reves, Missouri. Leon will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife Nadine (Whitfield) Amick of the home; one son, Johnny Amick and wife Belinda; two daughters, Shirley Annette Amick and Jackie Brokaw and husband Freeman; one brother, J.C. Amick; four sisters, Rosemary Farmer, Norma Jean Holland, Patsy Singleton, and Diana Potter; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; along with many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Maude Ellen (Haus) Amick; Dean Amick and Bobby Joe Amick.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 10:30-11:00AM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Services will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00AM. Brother Junior Avey is officiating. Interment will take place at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Tommy Reed, Johnny Reed, Bubba Brothers, Richie Carroll, Tyler Hodges, and Shane Cooper. Honorary pallbearers are John Henry Amick and Austin Brokaw.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

papi you taught me so much in life how handshake and someone's word is more important than a signed piece of paper. You told me that there's no excuses in life no matter how is it clean or emotionally you're hurt you still have to get up every day and do what you have to do. You taught me that to have what you want in this world you have to work for. you told me that self pride self-respect and selfdignity Are things in life but you can't lose. You taught me that other people don't know how strong you are inside. When they said that you never walk again haha you prove them wrong.I love you very much
