Betty Jo Halbrook Asaro, age 84 of Little Rock, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in Baker, Arkansas on June 11th, 1933 to Ulis Alfred Halbrook and Martha Elizabeth Preddy Halbrook.
Betty was a wonderful, loving mother. She worked in the food industry at the Hilton Hotel in Little Rock for over 30 years. Betty is a descendent of the Alfred Jackson family who settled in the Barren Hollow community of Searcy County, Arkansas in 1868 and the Miles Halbrook family from the Bear Creek Township of Searcy County.
Survivors include one son, Deno Joe Asaro of the home; and other family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louie Asaro who died December 21st, 2017; and one sister, Helen Joyce Halbrook Zimmerman who died in 1971.
Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas. All services will be private.

Betty Jo and I were childhood friends. She was four months older than I. We made many happy memories together.
my family and I moved back to Searcy County , Arkansas in 1961, after spending eight and six months in Missouri Betty Jo wasn't living here when we returned.
I have thought about her many times and been thankful for the good childhood memories,
my sympathy is with the family members. May God comfort your hearts.
