Lousettia Beatrice Starling, age 99 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, July 17th, 2016 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. She was born in Marsena, Arkansas on April 21st, 1917 to Walter Blair and Ida Bell (McDaniel) Blair.
When she was able Lousettia attended the Marshall Church of God and the Marshall Community Church. She enjoyed going to church and attending singings at the church. Lousettia liked to heat with wood and she always cooked a pot of vegetable soup every day. Lousettia was well known for her love of hats and the bright colors that she liked to wear.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Kendall Bohlen and Perry Starling Sr.; sons, Bobby David Starling and infant sons, William Starling and Clyde Carroll Bohlen; daughter, Rose Ann Bohlen Santhuff; grandchild, Barbara Santhuff; sisters, Lydia Blair and Oaty Saratt; and brothers, Bryce, Thurman and Guy Blair.
Survivors include four sons, Eugene (Mahala) Bohlen of Rainier, OR, Vernon Bohlen of Rogers, Virgil (Bernice) Bohlen, also of Rogers and Perry (Elaine) Starling Jr. of Leslie; one daughter, Mary (Larry) Castleman of Marshall; seventeen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other family who will also mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Lousettia will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 20th, 2016 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Bruce Smithson officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM, July 20th, 2016 preceding the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Marsena. Pallbearers will be Anthony Castleman, Nathan Starling, Robert Swearingen, Kenneth Blair, B.J. Kever and Clyde Blair. Honorary pallbearers will be Rex Blair, Guy Dale Blair and Ethan Castleman.
