Kathleen Humphrey Knee, age 94 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, April 13th, 2016 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. She was born in Yellville, Arkansas on November 11th, 1921 to Arthur Lonzo Humphrey and Edna Cordie (Toney) Humphrey.
Kathleen accepted the Lord as her Savior early in her married life. She was a wonderful seamstress and made many dresses for her girls. Kathleen was an excellent cook and was the Chocolate Roll Queen before Chocolate Rolls became famous in Searcy County. She would make fried pies and chocolate rolls for her husband's lunch every day. She was a patient, loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include four children, Edna Mae (Joe) Wells of Marshall, Linda Steen of Marshall, Judy (Jack) Kelley of Leslie and Chuck (Shelia) Knee of Georgetown, TX; grandchildren, Teena (Calvin) Fare of Marionville, MO, Joel (Amy) Wells of Harrison, Jennifer Wendell of Marshall, Jill (Kevin) Roach of Mountain Home, Jeff (Sherry) Jennings of Marshall, John Steen of Springdale, Heath Horton of Leslie, Justin (Christy) Horton of Harrison, Andrea (Josh) Brown of Grantham, NH, Savannah Knee of Wooster and Stacy Knee of Jarrell, TX; twenty great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lawrence and Jim; sisters, Laura and Anna Lee; sons-in-law, Cecil Ray Jennings and Phil Steen; granddaughter-in-law, Kate Horton; and great-grandson, Max Heath Horton.
Graveside services for Kathleen will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 15th, 2016 at Desoto Cemetery in Yellville, Arkansas with Bro. James Horton officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Thursday, April 14th, 2016 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
