Ione Laura Arvilla Freeman Young, age 88, of Marshall, Arkansas went to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 09, 2012. She was born in Grandview, Arkansas on February 06, 1924, the third child of six girls born to Alfred and Sybil (Ragland) Freeman.
She was a devoted wife, mother and mam-maw. She loved flowers, music, family and friends. "God is love," she would always say. "It's so good for all of us to be together." She also enjoyed attending Loafers Glory church when she was able. There are not enough words in the world to write how precious she really was to us.
Ione is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Jessie Lloyd Young; and two sisters, Clara Young Riendeau and Violet Treadwell.
She leaves behind three sisters, Estella Watts and May Ott of Marshall and Beatrice O'Neal of Harrison; two children, Edwin Young and Elaine Brown, both of Marshall; three grandchildren, Teresa Cole and Julie Bradford, both of Marshall and Kevin Brown of Clinton; five great grandchildren, Ryan Bradford, Rhett Bradford, Reece Bradford and Matthew Cole, all of Marshall, and Kayden Brown and her brother or sister expected in January, of Clinton; she also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
We love and will miss her until we meet again.
Services for Ione will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Jr. Ray Sutterfield and Bro. Jr. Cole officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday in the Chapel. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bradford, JR Cole, Kevin Brown, Ryan Bradford, Rhett Bradford and Harold Young.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Treadwell, Steve Treadwell, Ronnie Treadwell, Keith Treadwell, Stan Ott, Jeff O'Neal, Nelson O'Neal and Tony Young.

Ms. Young was such an inspiration to my family at Highland Court. What a dear she was.....no doubt, she is singing praises in Heaven today. We have become so attached to the residents and their families, as well as the staff there at Highland Court, we are always saddened to lose one of them. My sympathy to her family. Both Elaine and Edwin are to be commended for their constant loving care of her.

Elaine and Family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Ione. She was in the room next to my own Mother at Highland Court, so she became a familiar face (as did Elaine's) over the last few months.
