Bro. Ivol Green was one of my first examples of “A soft answer turneth away wrath: “ Proverbs 15:1a I saw him in action as the General Contractor overseeing a construction project in Little Rock. I never heard him get loud he would listen to the other persons point of view and then Firmly let them know how it was going to be done and why showing them on the blueprints that he had studied in great detail. He was a man who demanded respect by his actions, and how he respected others. I have seen this soft but well-spoken respect for others in both his children and his grandchildren.

One rainy day the kids had to stay inside on break. Several of us boys went sailing into the construction site next door playing chase. I was rewarded with a backwards flip when I ran between the studs of a wall in process that a few minutes before was just studs and now it had a blue electrical conduit about chest high run through the studs. Bro Green helped me to my feet making sure I was ok, and kindly yet sternly directed us Elementary boys back out of the construction zone. While assuring the electricians that he had this under control get back to work.

Duane we are still thanking God for the miracle when you fell proving you were the hardest headed guy around.

Our Prayers are with the entire family near and far.

I have nothing but good memories of Bro. Ivol Green.
