Prayers are with Bud's family. I grew up across the street from Bud and Willie Mae. I remember his beautiful rose bush and water fountain. He was a very sweet and kind man.

Obituary captured pretty close to everything I remembered about him other than his details of his service in the army. As I didn't know him on a very close personal level.. I remember as a warm smile and friendly wave, a friendly chat at the fence, a kidding personality from him and his wife Willie Mae going door to door at Halloween. growing up in my mothers neighborhood remembering him as "good ol' Bud". I remember his beagles and have always admired his beautiful roses! I wasn't aware that he was sick until more recently but after losing someone to cancer I know there is some relief in knowing they are no longer suffering. Good man he was though, nothing but good memories.

Aunt Willie, Ellen, & Norma,
Stephen and I are so saddened by the loss of Uncle Bud. We are so glad that we got to visit with him before Christmas, he was very alert, talkative and happy to see us. Uncle Bud was a super special person and we loved him so much. We are thinking about you guys and praying for you, and we know that we will see Uncle Bud again one day. Just know that the Lord is with you and will carry you through this tough time. If there is anything that you need or anything that we can do for you, remember that we are just down the highway from you, and will do whatever we can. We love you guys a ton!!
