Thomas Herbert DiCarlo

of Mountain Home, AR

October 11, 1942 - July 19, 2018

Thomas (Tom) H. DiCarlo, 75 of Mountain Home, AR (formerly of Palos Park, IL) died July 19 after experiencing a heart attack while fishing on Bull Shoals Lake. Tom was born to Iris (Bond) and Nick DiCarlo on October 11, 1942 in Chicago, IL. He married Nadine Thomas on September 29, 1962. Before retiring to Mountain Home, Tom was an entrepreneur, owning and operating with his wife Nadine a hair salon, flower shops, restaurants, and a whole sale meat business. His artistic nature was evident in his home renovation projects, landscaping, stained glass work, and of course, his cooking. Tom was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was an active member of the local Walleye Angler's Club where he taught many people to fish, provided educational programs and even taught how to cook walleye. While Tom loved to fish, he will be most remembered for the way he expressed his love through the meals he cooked, grilled and baked for his family and friends. He will be missed dearly. Tom is survived by his wife Nadine, daughter, Monique DiCarlo (Faith Wilmot), son, Nick DiCarlo (Mike Johnson), granddaughter, Miracle Wilmot-DiCarlo and his four legged companion, Rocco. A Celebration of Life will be held at Roller Funeral Home on Wednesday July 25, 2018 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift in Tom's name to Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation, foundation@baxterregional.org.

So sorry for your loss may you find peace and comfort in the words spoken at 2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4" Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we get from God.

I hunted with Tom and before we went to hunt deer in Wisconsin he prepared a meal... that was in 4 in the morning. It was an Italian meal. Tom had a great sense of humor and like his Father Nick was a tireless worker. He was a great inspiration for so many. He will be missed by many and a loss to those that will never have that chance to experience life with him…

Tom was a great guy and we will be missing him coming by our shop for welding and his reports on how the fishing was going. We are glad he passed doing something we know he loved and know he wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Rest in peace good friend and may God be with you in the rest of your journey.

Tom was a great man, a lover of the outdoors, and life in general. Talking with him always was the highlight of my day. He's fishing with the angels now. We will miss you.
