Kenneth W. Bohaty Sr., age 76, of Mountain Home passed away Wednesday April 11, 2018 in Mountain Home. He was born to Joseph and Pearl Bohaty (Vacek) on September 13, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois.
Kenneth served in the United States Army for 2 years during the Cold War. On August 25, 1966 Kenneth married his wife Donna in Chicago, Illinois and they spent 51 wonderful years of their life together. He spent 38 years working for the Northern Illinois Gas Company as a meter mechanic and a intercompany truck driver. When Kenneth and Donna moved to Mountain Home, Kenneth spent 17 years working at Harps in Calico Rock. Kenneth was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church here in Mountain Home for many years. Kenneth enjoyed many things in his life such as: wood working, reading any book that he could find, watching the Chicago Bears play, and watching NASCAR every Sunday.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Donna Bohaty of Mountain Home; one son Kenneth Bohaty Jr (Norma) of Leavenworth, Kansas; two daughters: Christine Bohaty-Humphrey (Scott) of Udall, Kansas and Cathy Paschke (Brian) of Wonder Lake, Illinois; five grandchildren: Jessica Bohaty, Tiffany Bohaty, Brian Bohaty, Michael Cannegieter, Nicole Cannegieter; four great-grandchildren; two nieces: Lenore and Barbara. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Lenny Bohaty.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Friday April 20, 2018 at 10 AM with Reverend Heather Clawitter officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or the Back Pack program at First United Methodist Church.
