Charles C. Crider, age 82, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018. He was born November 23, 1935 to William and Leonia (Dash) Crider in Rosehill, Virginia.
Charles married his beloved wife, Rose on May 29, 1954 in McCormick, South Carolina. He worked for the telephone company, known as CenturyLink now, for 36 years. Charles loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church for many years. Charles was also a Shriner and active member in the Masonic Lodge.
Charles is survived by his wife, Rose, of the home; two sons: Tony (Deborah) Crider of Seneca, South Carolina and Terry (Sandra) Crider of Henderson, Arkansas; three daughters: Paula Chesney of Cotter, Arkansas, Tracey Brozovich, and Lisa K. Crider, both of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren: Michael, Nathan, Sarah, Brandy, Angela, Nathaniel, Lance, and Christopher; 4 great grandchildren: Brayden, Christian, Chase, and Eli. He is also survived by one sister, Polly Bigsby of Maryland and two brothers: Harry (Sue) Crider and (Wm.) Junior (Ann) Crider, both of Virginia.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and a son-in-law, Michael.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 2-4pm at Roller Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, February 26, 2018 with interment to follow in Kirby-Tucker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016.
