Betty Jean (Davidson) Boyd, 86, a lifetime resident of Mountain Home, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at her daughter's home in Austin, TX.
She was born February 22, 1930, in Peel, AR to the late Orval Davidson and Bessie (Casebolt) Davidson. Betty was a founding member of East Side Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, and enjoyed reading, making quilts and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters (Elva Young, Juanita Holden, and Madelyn Cooper) and three brothers (JD, Jimmie, and Freddie Davidson).
She is survived by five sons and a daughter: Ron Boyd and his wife, Maryann, of Harrison; Dale Boyd, Larry Boyd, Terry Boyd of Mtn. Home; Darrell Boyd of Aurora, CO and Donna Boyd Smith and her husband, Mark, of Austin, TX; two brothers, Orval Eugene Davidson of Wichita, KS and Dwayne Davidson of Columbus, OH; and a sister, Marvene Conner of Belleville, AR; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017, followed by a reception from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home.
