Patricia Ann Hobgood passed away November 17, 2016 in Mountain Home. She was born June 29, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Murray Joseph Higgins and Elsie E. (MacDonald) Higgins.
The family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1944, where Pat attended schools and was active in numerous school activities. At age 5, she enrolled in Tap Dancing school and continued all forms of dancing for many years. She also enjoyed roller skating and spending time at the beach. During her senior year in high school, Pat worked at a local bank. After graduation, she continued her banking career for 45 years. In 1978 she moved to Dallas, Texas and worked in several banks, becoming Vice President in loan operations, as well as a Compliance Officer. In 1986 Pat decided to pursue additional education, going to college to obtain a degree in nursing.
Upon retirement and loss of her husband, Joe, she moved to Mountain Home. She quickly became in involved in church activities and especially loved working with seniors. She hosted a group of seniors for 12 years, enjoying every minute. Pat was an active volunteer for several organizations. She loved cats, enjoyed doing puzzles and was an avid reader. Football season was always looked forward to, especially games that featured the Chicago Bears, the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants! Just ask any of her friends or family; she loved to talk football!
Preceding Pat in death was her husband, parents, grandparents, beloved brothers, Charles J. Higgins (1998) and Thomas M. Higgins (2013) and her son, Michael A. Johnson. Pat is survived by her son Gregory W. Johnson and daughter-in-law, Nancy of Lewisville, Texas, grandchildren: Matthew, Natalie and Griffin Johnson of Lewisville, Texas, Joey Johnson of Austin Texas, sister, Cathy Hook of Franklin, North Carolina, several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Rascal, who was her housemate for several years.
Pat will be missed not only by family, but her numerous friends and acquaintances for her friendly smile and sense of humor.

She was a very caring lady, will be missed .
