Mrs. Helen Maxine Cooper, age 89 of Mountain Home passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in Mountain Home. She was born July 12, 1927 in Creston, Iowa to Carl William and Florence (Thomsen) May.
Mrs. Cooper enjoyed sewing, knitting and traveling abroad. She served in the consulate in Karachi, Pakistan and Ankara, Turkey. She served in Department of Defense in Fort Harrison, Indiana as Quality Assurance Accountant, attaining GS12 Ranking. She was a friend of Bill W. for more than 43 years.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband, J. Paul Cooper of the home, one son, Jim Fredericksen (Lisa) of Buffalo, Minnesota, one daughter, Jane Cooper of Bridgewater, Iowa, four grandchildren; Erik Fredericksen, Dana Fredericksen, Lynne Polhlopek (Robert), Ryan Cooper (Cori), three great-grandchildren; Kyle Polhlopek, Tyler Cooper, and Bella Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carl R. May.
Memorial services will be Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1:00pm at Good Samaritan Chapel in Mountain Home. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to the Mountain Home Christian Clinic.
