So sad to hear we have lost such a caring, funny, sweet, sweet, sweet lady. Knew her from Red Hats and will always remember her and smile. She was one-of-a-kind. Rest gently, lovely lady.
I knew Merle through her Mother-in-Law, Dorothy Lynch and Sister-in-Law, Anne Lynch Hall. Merle was always very kind, thoughtful and friendly. She always made me feel welcome and would extend invitations to her family's house on holidays. She was devoted to her family and a talented baker. She will be missed.
Merle was a great lady and a good friend. We first met Merle when we attended St. Peter's with our son Ryan and sat with him in the Crying Room when he was a baby. Merle also sat there and was the candy lady with Ryan and all of the children in that room. Merle not only gave them candy, but she bought them presents too, for she loved children. She made the greatest coffee with real whipped cream, and her pastries and desserts were to die for. St. Peter's will miss her great cooking for funeral lunches, cookie walks and other events. We were honored to have known her and Walter. Dave and Geri Butts, and Ryan Nelson-Butts.
so sorry, Merle was such a nice lady
