So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the
words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 "(3) With that I heard
a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God
is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they
will be his people. And God himself will be with them.
(4 ) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and
death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry
nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Mark, Angus and family I am so sorry for your loss. It was such a pleasure getting to know Vernon and the rest of his family. May God lay his hand of comfort and strength upon you during this time. I loved hearing all of the stories Vernon would tell of his family and how proud he was of each of your accomplishments.....from construction business to being part of a band that traveled the world...he was very proud of all of you...God bless you, Monica Vance

It has been a honor and privilege caring for my "Candyman" Whether it was at Good Samaritan or Care Manor, Vernon remembered me and would always have a quick smile for me. I will truly miss him but I know he is watching over all who loved him.

My sincerest sympathies to the Bertel family. Vern was one of my favorites during the time I worked at his nursing home. He always greeted me with a smile and a "Hello, kiddo!" whenever our paths would cross throughout the day. I especially enjoyed our visits when he would beam and brag about his family. (Thanks for sharing him with me.) God's blessings upon you all.
