I am so saddened by the loss of such a sweet and outstanding person. Mercy, I love you and praying for strength and peace for you at this time.
Doesn't seem that long ago that I was calling Doc Slone in the middle of the night to deliver my beloved English Bulldog puppies. Must have been in the 90's, but it seems so vivid. Dr. Slone was the most gracious, caring and patient vet I have ever known. I have yet to meet anyone that compares. So many fond memories. RIP Doc. God Bless the family.
Rest in eternal peace. You will be missed by many animals and friends. Thank you for all the support you have given over the years. We are very touched by the generosity you have always had for the animals. Prayers to your family.
God Bless and many thanks for your years of service to our community.
Doc was more than just my boss, he was my friend, my mentor, and my family. He welcomed me into his practice where I happily stayed with him until his retirement. He taught me so much, not only in the veterinary field, but also helped me raise my colt. He taught me to live every day to its fullest. I remember sitting in his office and exchanging stories about our kids, he was never happier as when he talked of his kids and grandkids, you could see nothing but pride on his face. I remember watching him rope on his weekly practices, and about fell over the night he gave me the reins to ride Mel. I will miss him so much and will cherish every memory of him. He was truly a wonderful and amazing person in every way. It will not be the same without him.
Beloved he was, by myself and my many pets who passed through his door to be greeted by a brilliant mind, a knowing hand, and a gentle heart--a truly great veterinarian and man.
Dr. Slone was such a kind, gentle, caring man and vet. I know he will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Love this family. Teresa and I are praying for you!

I met you in 2004 when I got a rescue dog from you. You have always been kind and gentle with my dogs.
God bless you and your family. Just think of all the cats and dogs in heaven that greeted you with love when you arrived.
Mercy, You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
I grieve at the loss of Dr. Wayne Slone and my sympathy and love goes to his family. I hardly know how to pay adequate tribute to him. He was talented and brilliant.
I enjoyed working in his clinic during the 1980's and appreciated his dry sense of humor, kindness and intellect.
He and Mercy shared a great love.

My Christian Sympathies to the family of Dr. Slone. I saw him briefly before Dr. Sara Smith took over his practice. Mau Jesus fill your hearts with the strength and comfort that each and every one of you need at this time and always.
I am sad to hear of Dr. Slones' passing. He was an excellent veterinarian and has taken care of my childhood pets and as an Adult now he took care of my cat Sam who passed away right after he retired. He took great care of Sam since Sam was 6 weeks old up until he was 12 years old in 2012. Sam was one of his favorite kitties who just loved Dr. Slone! Sam would always purr when he saw Dr. Slone. He took great care of my baby Sam and kept him healthy! Now he gets to be in heaven with my Sammy. I will always remember his caring heart and his generosity for others! My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this hard time. God gained another Angel!
Mercy and family, My heart is heavy for you and Wayne's children. He was a good friend and will be missed. Stay strong sweet gal.
