Laura Catherine (Cleary) Cridlebaugh, age 101, of Mountain Home passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 24, 1911 in Rockford, Illinois to Edward Thomas and Laura Emily (Gilchrist) Cleary.
Mrs. Cridlebaugh married Phillip Earl Cridlebaugh March 10, 1929 in Rockford, Illinois. She was very active in community service in California, Colorado and Arkansas. She received many awards of appreciation for her work and efforts. She was well known for her enthusiasm for bowling and won a gold medal in the Senior Olympics for her age group (80-85yrs) in 1995.
Mrs. Cridlebaugh is survived by four daughters: Audrey Blankenship of Thayer, Missouri, Patricia Almquist of Crimora, Virginia, Sandra Disney of McAlester, Oklahoma and Karen Schlitt of Mountain Home, Arkansas and 87 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 66 years, two children: Phyllis Emily who died in infancy and Clyde Eugene, two brothers, a sister, three grandsons and a great grandson.
Private memorial graveside services will be at a later date. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri.
