Francis R. Whorrall, age 77, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Monday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Roller Chapel with Reverend Sigfried Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Arkansas Army National Guard and Alley-White American Legion Post #52.
Mr. Whorrall was born November 1, 1931, in Geneva, Illinois, to Ray Owen and Ella Fairley Whorrall. He married Rexene Williams Langford on April 8, 2000, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He retired as a government inspector with the U.S. Department of Defense. Mr. Whorrall served four years active duty in the U.S. Air Force where he was a flight engineer, six years in the Air Force Reserve, and 22 years in the Naval Reserve. He enjoyed yard work, growing flowers, woodworking and airplanes.
Survivors are: his wife: Rexene Whorrall: of the home; a son: Patrick Ray (Lisa) Whorrall: Gallatin Gateway, Montana; a daughter: Ella Marie (David) Tyler: Spring Hill, Florida; two grandchildren: Ian Patrick and Caitlin Fihn Whorrall; and two nieces: Cheryl Sharum and Debbie Jelinek. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife: Rose Whorrall; a brother: Edwin Whorrall; and a sister: Corinne Vincent.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
